Flight Time from Bali to Labuan Bajo
Direct flights from Bali (Ngurah Rai International Airport, DPS) to Labuan Bajo (Komodo Airport, LBJ) take approximately 60 to 80 minutes in the air. The distance is relatively short — Labuan Bajo is located on the island of Flores, east of Bali and Lombok across the Flores Sea. In good weather, the flight is smooth and the views of the island chain below are spectacular.
Airlines and Frequency
Multiple airlines operate the Bali to Labuan Bajo route, with several departures daily. Garuda Indonesia offers the most reliable schedule and generally the best in-flight service. Lion Air and its subsidiaries (Wings Air, Batik Air) operate multiple daily flights at lower price points. TransNusa is a regional airline with a good track record on the Bali–Labuan Bajo route. Bali Layover: How Much Time Do You Need?
Many international travelers combine Labuan Bajo with a few days in Bali at the start or end of their Indonesia trip. For a transit through Bali airport (without leaving the airport), you need a minimum of 2 to 3 hours between your international arrival and your connecting Bali–Labuan Bajo departure. However, if you want to exit the airport, spend a night or two in Bali, and then fly to Labuan Bajo, plan for at least 2 nights to make the stopover worthwhile.
Getting from Bali Airport to Your Hotel and Back
Bali's Ngurah Rai Airport is located in the south of the island, close to Kuta and Seminyak. Official taxis and ride-hailing apps (Gojek and Grab) are available at the arrivals level. If combining Bali and Labuan Bajo in a single trip, staying near the airport in southern Bali on your last night before flying to Labuan Bajo makes morning logistics significantly simpler.
