When Is Komodo Most Crowded?
Komodo National Park is busiest from July through September, when international tourist numbers peak. During these months, the Padar Island summit during morning and afternoon peak hours can host dozens of visitors simultaneously, and the beach at Pink Beach sees significant foot traffic from multiple boats arriving throughout the day. The ranger station areas on Rinca and Komodo Islands receive a steady flow of dragon trekking groups throughout daylight hours.

The single most effective strategy for experiencing Komodo National Park with minimal crowds is a Phinisi liveaboard, and specifically, waking up anchored near key sites and visiting them at dawn — before the day-trip boats have made the journey from Labuan Bajo.
